About f(x)
f(x) / 에프엑스 is a
girl group from South Korea created by SM Entertainment in 2009, The name is a
play on the mathematical notation for function, with "f" signifying
"flower" and "x" representing the female's double X
chromosome. f(x) is Asia Pop Dance Group and the member are Sulli,
Luna, Krystal, Victoria and Amber.

History
f(x) made their debut on September 5, 2009, with release of the digital single "LA chA TA". In 2009 f(x) got their popularity, they are The Rookies Group in 2009 with La chA TA song. f(x) released their first EP Nu ABO in 2010 to growing popularity. In April 2010, f(x) started their first reality show named by “Hello f(x)” under MBC Every1. The reality show talk about f(x) journey to Africa,Thailand,Japan and Korea. “Hello f(x)” only has four episode and also the reality show filmed before Nu Abo Promotion.

Continue Hello f(x), in October 2010 f(x) got their
second reality show “f(x) Koala” but only four member join the reality
show(Victoria-Luna-Sulli and Krystal). Amber was
unable to attend due to an ankle injury. The original run from thi
sreality show since October 2010-January 2011.

Afterwhich in 2011, they released their first
studio album Pinocchio.
The lead single off the album "Pinocchio (Danger)"
gained their first music program win on Music Bank and was their first song to
win the triple crown, which led to its first repackaged album "Hot Summer".
Luna and Victoria couldn’t stop crying because f(x) first win.
Their
second EP Electric Shock was released June 10, 2012. Electric Shock reached the number one spot on both
the US and Canadian iTunes electronic albums chart soon after its release. The lead single off their EP gained significant
popularity and acclaim, domestically sweeping digital charts. Electric Shock
gained 9Win on Music Show and One Triple Crown on Mcountdown.
Later
in March 2013, f(x) got the honor of being the first Kpop group to perform at 2013 SXSW South By
Southwest in Austin.

Their second album, Pink Tape,
released July 29, received critical accalaim & huge success, being
described "experimental, steeped in quirky, boundary-pushing electronic
sounds with woozy harmonies", thus being the only Kpop album released in
2013 to be ranked as "The Best 40 Albums of 2013", by Fuse TV,
an American music channel. Rum Pum Pum Pum marks f(x)'s first lead single to sweep
all 9 Korean charts soon after its release.
